“………I am a huge Swallowtail fan, having been fascinated with them for decades. ….. I really love your conservation programs, and hope very much that they are successful in establishing secure and sustainable populations of these amazing species………. I look forward to getting updates from SBBT in the future. Thanks for doing what you do, and best of luck to you in your endeavors.” Scott Meredith, California
SBBT is a start-up not-for-profit charity entirely run by volunteers. There are many ways in which to help our cause; whatever you are able and willing to do will be greatly appreciated!
Many people sign up for our Newsletter Papilio! and help to spread the word. Some ask their friends and colleagues to sign up – this is excellent! A lot of enthusiasts worldwide are more or less unaware of what is happening to conserve swallowtails and birdwings for future generations.
We are beginning to establish events in the UK. If these are local to you, we always need volunteers so do think about contacting us to offer help.
Our portfolio of projects and grants is expanding very quickly indeed. At this stage in our development, we are dependent upon gifts from philanthropists and enthusiasts, and occasional grants from other trusts and charities to whom we submit applications. With our very low overheads, we guarantee that almost all contributions will go directly to projects on the ground. Whether you choose to make a donation restricted to a specific project, or an unrestricted grant that can be used where it is most needed, your generosity will be greatly appreciated.
We will always report on the way in which your money is spent. Every year we submit formal reports to the UK Charity Commission, as part of our legal obligations.
If you would like to donate to the Trust, please visit our Donate page. Some of our overseas supporters prefer to find us on Paypal, while others make bank transfers or simply send a cheque!
